Anything is possible here...
Welcome to Laopitnuu, a vast wilderness with generations of history flowing through it like a timeless river. This pristine land is home to many natural creatures, including the intelligent beasts known as wolves. But all is not as normal and natural as it seems. These mountains and valleys are ruled by three species of wolves: The Jord, which are the natural-born wolves, The Vann, which are water-dwelling wolves, and the Lufte who have glorious wings and take to the sky. These glorious animals are hidden from the world, except for the occasional band of human hunters who aren't intelligent enough to seek out the mysteries this land holds. Do you have what it takes to navigate this harsh terrain? Corrupt Redemption is a brand new, literate-advanced, wolf roleplay community. Please apply before joining, and have an enjoyable stay!
There are three unique, epic plots that are to be introduced soon. So believe me, you won't regret joining.

The packs are steadily growing. Laopitnuu has more than its fair share of Jack Frost's blessing, for snow and ice have made it a dangerous winter landscape. The Rohan pack has taken three rogues under its wing, one seeming to have caught the affection of the youngest Rohan she-wolf.
» • Winter
It has been a long, brutal winter, but it isn't over yet. A short period of rain managed to wash most of the snow away, but it came back with full force. There is about three-four feet of icy snow over the land, and most lakes are now frozen. Whiteouts are quite common now, and icicles coat every available ledge and den entrance. It is unbearably cold, and almost impossible for even the strongest Lufte to stay in the sky without crashing because of the random snow storms, and the strong winds. It seems as though spring may never come, and that this snow may stay forever. However, spirits are being raised now that the days have clear, cerulean skies, and a bright sun. Without a doubt, it gives optimism to those lovers of springtime! Even though the heavens manage to drop a bit of snow every day, it appears that the great wolf god Dormin is starting to wake and reclaim his kingdom with the warm rays of the sun.

Is anybody out there? hello alone
Winter was such a beautiful time in the eyes of many. To some, a gently rolling hill blanketed in a soft layer of freshly fallen snow was a haven from the sweltering heat presented to them only months before. Mother Nature caressed every nook and cranny with spindly fingers, softened every blade of grass that animals treaded over so that the lands seemed so fragile, as if painted by an artist. With one harsh stroke of the paintbrush the creator could destroy so much, and preserve so little. Cerulean skies become an open canvas for a myriad of designs; cirrus clouds dancing across the morning sky hindered only by the occasional cumulus. A delicate snowflake placed here and there in the peaceful sky, with a freezing pond standing off to the side. Even the trees could be morphed to model winters beauty, frozen in time with daggers of ice hanging precariously from withered and aging branches. But the beauty always hid the truth. Deceit lurked ever so often beneath the snow laden earth, studied the creatures with demonic eyes. Animals that travel across the frozen ground in search of food and water, only to be greeted by the sheet of ice that traps the cool liquid, often times fall prey to nature. Prey is scarce, and often times the predators are faced with starvation. Only the future generation could stand a chance against winter’s wrath, cared for and protected by the parents who tediously guard them.
Caison had always loved the winter months, despite its many flaws. Every year the female waited for the morning when her slumber would be disturbed by the biting cold that signified the arrival of the winter. Her eyes would open to the sight of falling snow, bathing the land in a soft glow that could never be imitated with even the most skilled of artists. The intake of chilled air always sent a shiver down her back, ending with Caison exhaling a white plume of vapor. Few things gave the wolf as much joy as being knee high in snow, trudging through the cold while her toes felt as though a thousand needles had been jammed in-between her pads. Every year the winter seemed to awaken her spirit, renewing her hope for the next year. It seemed that this year around though, the winter was more harsh and deadly than it ever had been in the past. Strong winds blew in from the north, bringing with them freezing temperatures and more snow than anyone knew what to do with.
Because of the ferocious winds that so often passed through the skies, it was difficult to travel for long in the air. Caison, upon deciding to take to the skies, had only managed to stay aloft for a few minutes before her voluptuous wings had grown heavy and weak, feeling as though she were being drug through thick water. It was then that the female knew she couldn’t risk traveling by air any longer, and she had alighted down to touch the frozen earth.
With her wings held firmly at her sides so that the howling winds wouldn’t cause pain, Caison now trudged through the thick layer of snow. Occasionally the Lufte would come across a weak spot in the built up snow, falling through up to her chest. It didn’t help that she had no idea where she had landed herself, or where exactly she was headed. The previous white out conditions had wiped away any tracks that may have been planted in the ground, and the weather also masked any scent markings that would indicate that the lands were inhibited. Even the snowshoe hares didn’t dare remove themselves from the warmth and safety of their dens.
Now, Caison paused in her advance and lifted her head to the skies. She was a wolf, built and equipped to deal with harsh conditions. But even the strongest of creatures would have had difficulty dealing with the freezing temperatures and constant onslaught of snow and ice; and Caison was not even close to being the strongest wolf. Her body was miniscule compared to others, and her thin winter coat provided little protection. As a gust of wind sent a shiver through her bones, Caison let out a small whimper. How much longer would she be able to continue? It was hard to think she would last even another hour in her current state.
But the female’s pride and perseverance wouldn’t allow her to cease just yet. Her feet, moving almost mechanically, carried her through the snow. With her head bent low to shield her eyes from the particles of snow being whipped around her, the female let loose as loud of a howl as she could muster. Even if the most vile of wolves found her here, it would be better than rotting alone in the desolate and barren lands.

Sainty, POP! but there is no more timefor lies.
The terrain was a blank canvas, painted in a single colour, white. Quite flat, the ground did not do much in providing a divide between floor and air, while the snow coming down in buckets hindered further in distinguishing the two. It was hard to see through all the powder that was falling around him, and made harder still with how much the wind tossed it around, apparently without a care in the world. Now, with both these factors combined, one would imagine it was also causing hassle with flight, and it was. Lucas had wanted to hold out as long as possible, if only because the group would make quicker progress toward their destination while airborne. But it was proving too stressful on their wings, the unrelenting breeze constantly tugging and pulling at them, while a blanket of white insisted it settle. Even the constant effort of flapping did nothing to dislodge it, as as soon as it was gone, another layer appeared. Releasing a sigh that had been building in his throat, he turned a crčme head to look behind, and was thankful that he was able to pick out both the multi-hued, and fiery coloured bodies he had set out with.
“We should continue on land from here. The weather is far too brutal for us to go much farther.” He shot the pair a quick smile, then turned his attention back to the uninviting terrain ahead, now focussed on finding a suitable landing spot. Not that it would be easy, considering that everything looked the same from his focal point, it all being the same colour and all. After some careful decision however, he took the chance and began to descend. His wings stilled for a moment, allowing him to drop a few meters before they started up again in brisk flaps. They did not continue in this motion for long however, as soon they were curled in a wide circle around his frame and he dove forward. If there were any onlookers, they would have been watching with baited breath at just how quickly he was plummeting toward the ground, but he was far from worried – He had completed this manoeuvre many times before. Although, this time, it seemed that the gods had different plans, as howl suddenly sliced through the thick smog of ivory.
To say it had surprised him would be an understatement, in reality, the unexpected noise had scared him out of his skin. Well, you would not expect anyone, especially a rogue to be out in such weather, would you? Either way, in his startled state, he had completely forgotten to outstretch his flight limbs once at the right distance from the ground, and by the time he realised, it was far too late to do anything without injuring himself more than a fall would do. So, he braced for the impact with the fairly soft snow, and was once again surprised when he collided with something far more solid instead. He had of course, ploughed straight into the unsuspecting female that had just voiced her presence, and bowled her over in the process – And now, they lay in a pile. Eyes widening in shock, he scrambled around for a few moments, before finding his paws and pulling himself onto them. “I-Uh, my apologies.” He blurted, diverting his gaze to the floor, and letting his tail fall limp, “Your howl, it... It surprised me.”

The male had named the lands as he saw fit. Paradis Hollow, the forest where he first claimed and met his first pack members, Vaettir Lake, where the water was mostly frozen, apart from a few breakable areas in the center that would allow for a wolf to quench his thirst. Knotted Fields, that were spotted with elk and deer, a fine place to initiate a hunt, and in the distance he saw a mountainous cliff, which he was sure that Lucas was leading them to. That peak he named Witch Forge Point, the place where he and his pack would reside. It was clear that the lands would be quite plentiful come spring time, but during the winter, they were ever dangerous and ever unforgiving. The brute's eyes, the same slate grey as the sky, peered out over the terrain, his leathery dark nose twitching and sniffing at the scents that flowed through the far travelled air. On those winds were the faint but unmistakable scent of wolves, and not just Lufte kind, but Jord and Vann as well. The male growled a low and menacing sound. He would not allow another species to venture into his lands.. They were forbidden here, unless he allowed special permission in certain circumstances, such as injury or abandonment. He would not leave a wolf to die, no matter what their blood, but he would not risk his pack of winged wolves and their blood be tainted and mixed with the other species. It was unnatural, and unlawful.
The alpha male studied his companions as they flew, one in front, one behind. The wind and sleet that was thrown at his eyes, caused him to squint and blink violently against the raging elements. Lucas was struggling, he could easily see this, as the male's wings were repeatedly caked with snow. He assumed that Zakiya would be suffered the same. His own wings, powerful and abnormally large, were thick enough and strong enough to cope with the extra weight, but the brute knew that his pack members could not, so he allowed Lucas to lead them to the ground. The beast watched as the younger male spun in an impressive downwards spiral, plummeting like a stone towards the area he had called Knotted Fields. He was sure that the male would pull up at the last moment, but as he neared the ground, a feminine song rang out and caused his what would have been a graceful landing, into a disastrous crash that left the owner of the howl knocked clear off her feet, he was sure. His ears were now pricked with interest and also a sense of dominance that coursed through his veins. She was an intruder, and her business or reason, at least, for being in these lands, would have to be explained to the brown and tan hued alpha. It was difficult to see through the snow, but the male was convinced that Lucas had just knocked down a female wolf.
Releasing a chuffing sound, to make his presence known, the alpha folded his wings about him and dived down through the winds, his pointed mussel slicing his muscular form through the air with the speed and grace of a true Lufte. He landed in a jog, his wings ruffling, still half spread. With his enormous size advancing, the brute raised his tail, the hackles around his neck standing to attention, but not blistering with anger. He softly and calmly advanced, although his piercing pale eyes were locked onto the female with such an intensity about them, that intimidation was hard to escape. He stood above her, his gaze momentarily snapping to Lucas, with a look instructing him to be more careful next time. Snorting out the cold air, and then leaning down slightly to take in a deep breath of her scent, the male memorised her smell, and then pulled back, allowing her space. His mighty feathered wings spread widely, hoping to block some of the wind from Lucas and the female. He turned for a moment to seek Zakiya's location, but was confident that the small male was nearby. Relocating his attention back to the young she-wolf, he proceeded in seeking her reasons for entering his lands.
"Greetings young miss, my name is Kana, Alpha of Syathesti. I do hope you are not at all injured, please forgive young Lucas. May I ask what is your business here?"
The deep voice of the brute, somewhat soothing as he pitied her unfortunate first welcome from the ever graceful Lucas. He took note of her wings, softly wheat coloured and feathered, they seemed weary from flight, and assumed that the winds had become too strong for her. His brow furrowed in concern as he noted the length of her fur, quite short and inadequate for such a harsh winter. She was a small, dainty little she-wolf, very lithe of limb. Though he did notice her soft face and charming emerald eyes. He believed that when she did speak, her words would tell him that she was a wolf of a kind heart, and perhaps would be another possible member for Syathesti's slowly growing pack, should she wish it.

Is anybody out there? hello alone
Her cease in movement went virtually unnoticed by her mind. She had been walking for far too long, and the time seemed only to be duplicated due to the slow pace at which she had been moving. Caison hardly ever chose to travel by foot due to the pair of wings she had been granted at birth. Why would she want to exert herself more than necessary? Traversing through the air was so much easier than dragging a sore and tired body across a frozen land; one which would be relentless against intruders. Flying just felt so much more… free. With the wind whipping through her fur, and the stinging sensation that coursed through her watery eyes that was brought on by the high speeds, it was impossible to not feel at home.
Walking could give her none of the happiness that flying did.
If it weren’t for the harsh fluttering sound above her, Caison would have continued to dwell on her current thoughts. However, there was a sharp flap and then something hard collide into her side. Letting out a shocked yelp, Caison instinctively unfurled her large wings as if she were about to take of in flight. Using her shoulder muscles to drive the feathers downward, Caison pushed off with her hind legs in order to gain a bit of air to escape her attacker. However, her attempts at flight were purely in vain. The velocity with which the creature had slammed into her with was enough to send her flying backward, falling in a tangled mess into the snow. Her wings were pinned underneath the other wolf, immobilizing her in the frozen ground. Her body, which was now suffering from a sharp, jab of pain in her side, instantly became rigid; her mind jumping to a defensive state at once. Keeping her body as still as possible, the female waited in silence as the wolf scrambled to his feet, stuttering out an apology once he had regained his footing. “I-Uh, my apologies.” Caison’s eyes relaxed from their slit-like state as she noted the sincere tone in his voice. “Your howl, it... It surprised me.” A small nod was given in his direction, indicating that the assault was forgiven. ”No worries. Everything still seems to be in one piece.”
Unsure if her words were the truth, Caison tentatively stretched out her wings, wincing a bit a she found they were indeed a bit sore. Emerald eyes looked over the structures quickly, searching for any signs of a rip or tear. After a few seconds had passed and her examination was complete, the female relaxed. As far as she could tell, there was no visible damage to her wings.
The arrival of another wolf almost went completely unnoticed. Standing a few feet away from where the two currently stood was a Lufte of an intimidating size, his wings only adding to the overall girth. Caison narrowed her eyes slightly, wary of the arrival of another. Her eyes only widened as the male advanced towards her, pausing as he reached her, and then reaching his snout forward to gather her scent. Either this male was extremely confident in himself, or…
Caison put two and two together, making the assumption that this male was indeed one of a much higher ranking. Lowering her gaze to the ground and folding her front legs so that she was positioned in a submissive stance, Caison listened as he spoke to her. "Greetings young miss, my name is Kana, Alpha of Syathesti. I do hope you are not at all injured, please forgive young Lucas. May I ask what is your business here?" Alpha of Syathesti. Caison rolled the name over and over again in her head, and finally came to the conclusion that this pack was unknown to her.
”Forgive me, Alpha Kana, for trespassing. The snow must have masked the scent markings.” Caison slowly raised her gaze so that Kana could see them, not quite looking into his eyes as of yet. She addressed the matter of her walking on his lands first, and then transitioned into the matter of giving her name. ”My name is Caison, a mere rogue.” She ended the introductions with a slight dip of her head, indicating she had no more to add as of yet. She took note of the way Kana spread his wings in front of Lucas and herself, silently grateful for the blockade.
